Pianos are an investment. Having your piano serviced by a qualified technician is the only sure way to protect your investment and avoid costly repairs in the future.
Piano Tuning
Tuning adjusts the pitch of over 200 strings attached to the tuning pins. This is important to maintain proper stress levels in the structure of the piano and should be done regularly. Piano manufacturers recommend 2 or 3 tunings per year.
Voicing & Regulation
Voicing controls how bright or soft a piano sounds and can be adjusted according to your personal preference.
Regulation ensures the proper function of the working mechanisms (action) of your piano. Similar to voicing, regulation can be adjusted to your desired touch.
Repairs & Rebuilding
With time and repeated use, any of the over 10,000 parts in a piano can wear down or be damaged by external factors, requiring repair or replacement. After a professional rebuild, pianos can sometimes be even superior to the original.

Wayne Cressman
Qualified piano tuner-technician with over 25 years’ experience servicing all makes and models.
Early in Wayne’s life, he developed a keen interest in all things musical. This love of music lead to learning to play the piano, guitar, violin and becoming a Recording Studio Technician. Playing semi-professionally with other musicians and teaching piano to students of all ages, made him see the need for instruments that perform well and sound great. Joining the Piano Technicians’ Guild as a young adult, and working with experienced technicians allowed him to hone his skills and become professionally certified. He has since worked for various piano dealerships, school boards, piano festivals, renowned musicians and various performance venues. As a master concert technician and piano rebuilder, he is able to assess and accommodate a client’s needs and individual requests regarding tone (see voicing) and touch (see regulating).
